UNIVERSAL GLOW PLUG TIP / HEATING ELEMENT REMOVAL SET M8x1, M9x1, M10x1 & M10x1.25
When faulty glow plugs are removed, the heating element (held by carbon deposits) can sheer from the tip of the glow plug leaving it seized at the bottom of the glow plug hole.
This set allows the technician to accurately drill out the core of the element on the vehicle using a drill guide, tap a thread into the centre and using the extraction spindle, draw out the element. Cleaning brushes are then used to remove any carbon deposits allowing the new glow plug to be installed.
